What is the difference between an acoustic enclosure and a noise barrier?

An enclosure wraps the entire equipment, blocking noise from escaping. A barrier blocks a path between source and receiver. They are often combined: large single equipment uses enclosures, plant-room leakage uses barriers.

Will 100mm glass wool get damaged by rain?

No. The outer 1.0mm steel/aluminum + PVDF sheet is fully sealed; the glass wool stays dry permanently. In our PetroChina case, after 3 years of operation, glass wool rebound rate measured ≥ 95%.

Does fluorocarbon coating really last 25 years?

PVDF resin has high chemical bond energy, with 25-year-plus outdoor lifespan. ASPER uses AkzoNobel/PPG international brand PVDF + 3-coat-3-bake process. The Shenzhen Natural History Museum and Shenzhen Xiangmihu International Convention Center curtain wall projects have verified 8+ years without chalking.

Is the roof load sufficient?

ASPER standard enclosure self-weight is ~45 kg/m² (including keel), far below typical roof live load of 2.0 kN/m² (~200 kg/m²). We perform load review before detailed design for every project.

Can it be used in mountain or coastal areas?

Yes. Wind-uplift rating reaches ≥ Beaufort 12 (per GB 50009). Coastal salt-spray zones add anti-corrosion primer + PVDF topcoat dual-layer protection.

What's the warranty period?

5-year warranty on enclosure structure, 10-year warranty on PVDF coating (no chalking, no fading). Lifetime maintenance service beyond warranty.

Glass railings frame views without blocking them — the choice for waterfront promenades, museum terraces and modern offices. Here is what to specify so the system is safe, durable and code-compliant.

1. Glass Types

Tempered (toughened) glass — minimum standard, 4–5× stronger than annealed.
Laminated tempered glass (e.g. 8.76mm / 12.76mm) — recommended for balconies, stairs and overhead glazing: fragments stay bonded.
Heat-soak tested glass reduces spontaneous breakage from nickel-sulfide inclusions.

Check horizontal load (commonly ≥1.0 kN/m for residential, higher for public), infill impact requirements, glass thickness limits and handrail height (typically 900–1100mm).
